Samenvatting functie

Manufacturing facility in Botlek serves global markets in a variety of applications producing carbon blacks for elastomer reinforcement and specialty carbon blacks. We employ more than 100 employees throughout Botlek facility.

 

The Technology Manager will be part of the leadership team responsible for overseeing IT, Process Safety and Process Engineering functions of the plant. He/she will manage plant activities, to ensure the facilities are safe, environmentally sound and have the best available technology to produce and ship high-quality products at the lowest possible cost. Technology Manager is someone who can create an environment that supports achievement of Cabot’s objectives throughout process ownership and partnering with stakeholders.

  • Manage a team of professional engineers;
  • Work closely with global product line organization, R&D and manufacturing to develop new processes and test procedures that optimize product-based quality, efficiency, customer satisfaction, environmental compliance and safety;
  • Manage portfolio of development activities for new product implementation, product optimization and manufacturing value creation initiatives;
  • Lead ongoing review of quality definitions, evaluation and measurement of standards that balance customer needs with Cabot’s capabilities;
  • Manage continuous improvement process within local organization;
  • Overseeing Management of Change (MOC) technology, including approval of proposed changes in processes and procedures, ensuring consistency of practices, compliance with ISO standards, and compatibility with enterprise-wide system;
  • Support achievement of Cabot’s capital strategy by working closely with key stakeholders and developing capital plan and budget for plant improvements;
  • Provide leadership and direction to IT and Process Support Group staff and establish goals and objectives. Effectively practice Performance Based Management by coaching and developing employees;
  • As part a of Site Leadership Team, develop and implement long term strategy, action plan and objectives to drive future performance of the site.

Vereisten

  • University Degree in Science, Engineering, preferably supplemented with Business education
  • Technical expertise is extremely important for this role;
  • 6-10 years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3 years of prior management experience;
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English language;
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
